People who mod their games will always download a new mod, and most people will hit that Endorse button 'to help the author' and 'support the scene' without giving the mod a full test that takes weeks or more to do. There's no way to track actual usage of a mod, only that it has been downloaded, and most of those are 'just trying it out', I assure you. Retention is more important than initial downloads. I am on a RTX 2070 with a i7-9750H, with a 144ghz 1980 screen, i never have any fps problems with skyrim, i keep a constant 59fps always
I use the 2k mods, I have tried both 2k and 4k ones and when it comes down to it, you cant tell much of a difference between the two, and the 4k ones take up more harddrive space and since its resolution scailing, it will take away fps for someone on a low end pc. you could also check out cathedral weather which is one of the best weather mods on the nexus, this one also comes with no fps loss.ĭo you use 4k or 2k textures? I have used those before, they are nowhere near as good looking as what I listed, I have spent months trying damn near every texture and graphic mod out there, the ones I listed are the best you are gonna find, they make Skyrim look like a 2020 game. If you want to save some fps then you should download cathedral landscape which adds grass and plants, mountain and land retexture at no fps cost.
